Some couples book a venue. Danielle and Justin built a world inside one. For their New Year's Eve wedding at NeueHouse Hollywood, the historic broadcast building on Sunset, they described their vision to us in the questionnaire as, in their own words, Burning Man meets Alice in Wonderland meets SpaceX, with video-mapped walls transforming the ceremony into a glowing, otherworldly forest. Then they invited everyone to stay until the year changed.
It fit them. They met through mutual friends, throw an annual summer soiree for hundreds, and Justin proposed at one of those parties with a magician on hand. A couple that celebrates at that scale deserved a wedding that felt like a premiere, and this one did.
A Crown and a Custom Invitation
The details set the tone before the first frame of the ceremony: an illustrated invitation with Danielle and Justin drawn against a city skyline, and a bride who finished her lace off-shoulder gown with a full crown. Danielle's portrait in the window light, and the gown's sheer illusion back, belong in a bridal campaign.
Justin and his groomsmen went classic: black tuxedos and a sea of bowties, the right counterweight to a wedding this theatrical.
A First Look on Sunset
Before the doors opened, we stole the couple into the bougainvillea-draped alley beside the venue for a first look and a kiss with her train pooled across the brick. Hollywood does not offer many quiet corners; this one, strung with cafe lights, gave us five minutes of old-Los-Angeles romance before the new world took over.
That contrast became the visual spine of the day: warm and timeless outside, electric and impossible inside.
A Video-Mapped Forest
Then the doors opened on the ceremony space, and guests walked into a projection: an enchanted forest video-mapped across every wall, hanging wisteria and baby's breath glowing violet and blue, a stage dressed in white blossoms. It is the most ambitious ceremony design we have ever photographed, and the room genuinely gasped.
Danielle and Justin exchanged vows on that stage, and the frame we will remember is Justin overcome mid-ceremony, hand to his face, in black and white. Build any world you want around a wedding; the moment that matters is still two people and their promises.
Champagne at Midnight
The reception filled a white-draped tent: acrylic tables, oceans of white roses, floral chandeliers, and a champagne tower crowned with butterflies. The hero image of this story came in that room, Danielle and Justin alone in the candlelit aisle, her train spread the full width of the tent.
And because it was December thirty-first, the party had a built-in finale. The first dance rolled into a countdown, and the couple's first married midnight arrived on a dance floor that never emptied. Marrying into a new year is the best timeline hack in weddings: your anniversary comes with fireworks forever.
