Greg and Marine built their September wedding in three acts: a church ceremony surrounded by family, a portrait session through the architecture of Pasadena City Hall, and a Legacy Ballroom reception designed in layers of pink florals, candlelight, fog, and sparks.
The legacy gallery followed that progression from quiet morning moments to a full ballroom finale. We kept the same visual rhythm here, because the sequence tells the day honestly: emotion first, architecture next, and celebration at the end.
A Quiet Moment With Dad
Marine's morning was bright and soft, white drapery around the bridal suite and a gown that filled the room when it came off the hanger. One of the most lasting frames came when her father reached her, took her hand, and kissed it while her mother stood beside them.
Wedding photographs are strongest when the people in them forget about the camera. This was one of those moments, and it sets the emotional tone for everything that followed.
A Church Full of Family
At the church, Greg waited in a black tuxedo as Marine arrived beneath her veil with a round bouquet of white roses. The two met at the front of a sanctuary filled with stained glass, then turned toward a crowd ready to celebrate before they had even reached the doors.
Their exit carried that energy outside. Friends and relatives raised their hands around the couple while Marine held her bouquet high, a spontaneous frame that feels louder every time we look at it.
Pasadena City Hall in Light and Shadow
Pasadena City Hall gave the middle of the day its scale. We began inside the deep archways, placing Greg and Marine in a narrow blade of light with the columns falling into shadow around them. It was a quiet, cinematic counterpoint to the church exit.
The covered walkways gave Marine's train room to open behind her, then the front courtyard pulled the camera farther back. With the dome above them and the fountain nearby, the portraits read like a complete editorial rather than a short stop between venues.
Pink Florals at Legacy Ballroom
Legacy Ballroom changed the visual language again. The room opened in polished neutrals, then the floral design brought in pink orchids, roses, and tall branches across the sweetheart stage and guest tables. Crystal chandeliers and mirrored details carried the light through the space.
A ballroom this finished rewards a wide frame before guests enter. Those room photographs preserve the work behind the celebration and give the couple a view they rarely have time to take in on the day itself.
A First Dance Built for the Room
Greg and Marine's first dance used every part of the ballroom. Low fog covered the floor while cold spark fountains rose on both sides, framing the couple without hiding the guests gathered behind them. The hero photograph holds the full scene; the final frame closes in on the two of them inside the sparks.
That is the advantage of planning photography and production together. The effect lasts seconds, but when the timing, lighting, and camera position align, the photograph carries it for decades.
