Each location brought a different mood, from formal architecture to city views and the dramatic lines beneath the pier.
Wedding Portraits at Urban Light
The rows of lamps at LACMA's Urban Light gave Kaila and Scott a structured architectural setting as evening arrived. Working between the columns created both wide environmental photographs and tighter portraits filled with warm light.
Griffith Observatory and the Los Angeles Skyline
At Griffith Observatory, the white facade and sweeping city view shifted the gallery into a more cinematic style. The terraces offered clean architecture, open sky, and a broad view across Los Angeles.
An Intimate Hillside Ceremony
Kaila and Scott exchanged vows on a private lawn overlooking the hills. With a small group of guests and the skyline beyond the ceremony, the setting kept the focus on the couple and the people closest to them.
Portraits Beneath the Santa Monica Pier
The final portraits used the repeating pilings beneath the Santa Monica Pier. Daylight produced clean leading lines, then the same space became dark and atmospheric after sunset.
