An Ebell of Los Angeles Wedding: Alda and Kevin

Alda and Kevin's Ebell wedding used deep red florals, black attire, historic architecture, and cinematic window light for a distinctive celebration.

Alda Shin and Kevin Tsai chose The Ebell of Los Angeles for a wedding defined by deep color and historic architecture. Alda's black gown and red sash set the tone, complemented by layered crimson florals and a wedding party dressed in black.

The Ebell's carved walls, arched windows, courtyard, and warm interior lamps gave us a visual language that felt dramatic from preparation through the final portrait.

A Black and Red Wedding Palette

The details introduced the palette immediately through red shoes, dark stationery, jewelry, and floral accents. Kevin's tuxedo portraits used narrow shafts of warm light against the venue's textured walls.

Alda's bouquet and gown continued that contrast, giving each preparation image a strong graphic quality.

Silhouettes Inside The Ebell

Before the ceremony, Alda and Kevin met near a tall curtained window. Their silhouettes turned a quiet moment into one of the most distinctive frames in the gallery.

We then moved outside for a full wedding-party portrait, using the pale historic facade to separate the black attire and red flowers.

Courtyard Vows

The courtyard ceremony took place beneath a floral arch filled with red and blush tones. Alda's processional and the exchange of vows were photographed from both the aisle and the surrounding colonnade.

That approach preserved the architecture while keeping the emotional reactions clear.

Movement After Dark

After the ceremony, the venue's halls and windows became portrait locations. Alda's skirt and sash created movement against the dark interior, while warm lamps added depth.

The final reception portrait used patterned light and the couple's embrace to close the story with the same cinematic mood that began it.
