Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the complimentary session provided by Michael Anthony Photography. This page addresses your queries and provides detailed insights into what you can expect during your photography session with us.

This section has compiled a list of general FAQs that respond to various concerns. You can find answers to questions about the ordering process, pricing, providing digital files, and the duration of order fulfillment.

Also, we've included a guide on what to wear to your session. We generally recommend solid colors to reflect your style and personality best.

Please read the Terms and Conditions outlining our studio policies, including rescheduling and cancellation procedures. As a boutique studio with limited capacity, we are heavily impacted by missed or canceled appointments. As such, we require a fee to secure your photography session booking, particularly for high-demand slots such as weekends.

We hope this FAQ page assists you in understanding our services better and prepares you for an enjoyable and smooth photography experience with Michael Anthony Photography.

Great question! The answer is yes, this is the only time we are going to be able to offer prints. We do not retain files that are not purchased. We do however send you all of our current collections prior to your appointment so you will be able to look over all your options well before you come in!
We are a small, boutique studio, and rescheduling severely impacts us, especially late notice or no-show appointments.

Shoot appointments may be rescheduled 1 time, within 24 hours before your appointment.

Reveal/Ordering appointments not rescheduled within 48 hours will forfeit their $150 ordering credit. We allow a maximum of 2 chances for a reveal appointment, after a second no-show or reschedule, images will be removed from our servers to make room for other files.
We do! And we understand why you would want them, but to be honest you would get the full MAP experience with a beautiful portrait of your family hanging in your home in addition to digitals! We recommend artwork/digital combos for our clients.
Digital orders are usually available within 24 hours (assuming no edit requests) after your ordering session. Artwork can take up to 3 weeks to arrive. We ship directly to your door.
Our artwork starts at a price point of $595. We offer prints/digital items packages but keep in mind that our collections change from week to week based on what our labs offer at the time of your reveal appointment. On average, our clients typically invest between $1000-$1500. However, rest assured that there are no minimum orders or purchase obligations, so deciding how much to spend on our artwork is up to you. We strive to provide high-quality artwork to meet your needs and budget. We also offer payment plans.
Session deposits may be refunded if you opt not to order products from us provided you do your session. Otherwise, it is converted into credit toward your order. You must attend your reveal appointment to be eligible for a refunded session. Sessions canceled within 72 hours of booking may be refunded without attending. Sessions canceled after 72 hours may be rescheduled, however, clients must attend both the shoot and ordering session to receive a refund.
Our Los Angeles studio is located in Valencia, California right by Magic Mountain. Our address is 26007 Huntington Lane, #10, Valencia CA 91355.

Our temporary Dallas location is currently under construction and we are using a rental studio for our shoot dates there in Plano, Texas. We will send you the address once you book your session.
Nope! In fact our studio made it’s name based on our colorful editing style

We specialize in black and white portraiture because generally it goes better in your home, but we will edit your images in BOTH black and white and in color.

Black & White artwork is great because it goes with any color combination in your home, however color artwork is available upon request.
We recommend solid colors. While black and white are best, any solid colors will be great. Please stay away from patterns such as dots, stripes or floral. Other than that, we want the images to reflect you and your style so feel free to be as casual or formal as you prefer.
If you need to cancel your session, just shoot us an e-mail at info@michaelanthonyphotography.com. If you cancel after 72 hours of booking, your session fee may be moved to another date free of charge, however, are not refundable. Sessions canceled within 72 hours of booking may be refunded.

Studio Policies and Terms and Conditions

Our studio operates with limited capacity and we depend on our appointment times being filled.

Canceled/missed appointments place a heavy burden on our staff and remove the opportunity for us to fill a time slot, and require resources to be present at the studio.

Failure to show up for any appointment has an impact on us as a business, especially in high-demand times like the weekends because we typically book back-to-back appointments.

In order to minimize no-shows we require a fee to secure your photography session booking. Please note that weekends are most in demand and may require more advanced notice.

Terms and Conditions:

A $99 fee (depending on location or studio) secures a portrait session for the date/time agreed upon.

Failure to not turn up at a portrait viewing session may incur an additional fee for a second appointment.

Any more than a 20-minute appointment “late show” is automatically rescheduled.

Product Orders

All orders made at the studio during your portrait viewing are non-refundable as they are custom work. Once you have ordered your product, the studio will immediately begin working on your order, and may not be canceled or changed. This policy applies to orders on credit, lay-away plans, or utilizing financing.

Most orders are shipped within two to three weeks after placing the order at the studio. Any exception can be due to high-demand calendar months and other unique exceptions can apply.
