Studio Portrait Project

Great question! The answer is yes, this is the only time we are going to be able to offer prints. We do not retain files that are not purchased.

We do however send you all of our current collections prior to your appointment so you will be able to look over all your options well before you come in!

Our artwork starts at a price point of $499. We offer packages of prints/digital items, but keep in mind that our collections change from week to week based on what our labs are offering at the time of your reveal appointment. On average, our clients typically invest between $1000-$1500. However, rest assured that there are no minimum orders or purchase obligations, so ultimately the decision on how much to spend on our artwork is up to you. We strive to provide high-quality artwork to meet your needs and budget. We also offer payment plans.

We do! And we understand why you would want them, but to be honest you would get the full MAP experience with a beautiful portrait of your family hanging in your home in addition to digitals! We recommend artwork/digital combos for our clients.

Digital orders are usually available within 24 hours (assuming no edit requests) after your ordering session. Artwork can take up to 3 weeks to arrive. We ship directly to your door. 

We are a small, boutique studio, and rescheduling severely impacts us, especially late notice or no-show appointments. 

Shoot appointments may be rescheduled 1 time, within 24 hours before your appointment. 

Reveal/Ordering appointments not rescheduled within 48 hours will forfeit their $150 ordering credit. We allow a maximum of 2 chances for a reveal appointment, after a second no-show or reschedule, images will be removed from our servers to make room for other files. 

Session deposits may be refunded if you opt not to order and products from us. Otherwise it is converted into credit toward your order. You must attend your reveal appointment to be eligible for a refunded session. Certain exceptions may be made.

We specialize in black and white portraiture because generally it goes better in your home, but we will edit your images in BOTH black and white and in color.

Black & White artwork is great because it goes with any color combination in your home, however color artwork is available upon request.

We recommend solid colors. While black and white are best, any solid colors will be great. Please stay away from patterns such as dots, stripes or floral. Other than that, we want the images to reflect you and your style so feel free to be as casual or formal as you prefer.

Studio Guidelines and Friendly Reminders

We’re a specialized boutique studio, and each session is very important to us. That’s why we encourage timely commitment to scheduled bookings. By choosing to work with Michael Anthony Photography, you’re kindly agreeing to these terms.

Terms of Agreement:

1. A confirmation fee holds the portrait session for the date/time agreed upon.

2. Session fee is 100% refunded for cancellation of session within the first 72 hours of payment of reservation deposit. This means you have 3 days to change your mind for a full refund once you book and pay the deposit. Any changes or cancellations after 72 hours of booking, turn your deposit to a studio credit.

3. After 72 hours from booking, any cancellations or reschedules, the fee will convert to a studio credit voucher. This includes any reason for cancelling including sickness. Your deposit will not be lost unless cancellation is done within 24 hours of your session. All other cancellations and reschedules will become a store credit for a future rebooking but will not be refunded for any reason. This is applicable to both your session and photo viewing appointment (done via zoom).

4. The confirmation fee is non-refundable, and no applicable to future purchases with any failure to not turn up at the portrait or viewing session.

5. Any more than a 20 minute appointment “late show” is automatically rescheduled.

6. In case of session cancellation or re-schedule, you must rebook your appt within 48 hours of cancelling and must select a day within 30 days of your original appointment to receive the project gift certificate. Bonus “keep appointment”  studio vouchers are not valid if ANY changes are made to either your session time and date OR your photo viewing session or date. 

Confirmation Fee:

If plans change, your confirmation fee stays valid for a rescheduled session within 30 days from the original booking date. The confirmation fee ensures your dedicated slot and helps us maintain a smooth workflow. We value your time and ours; missed appointments affect everyone. If you don’t show up, the fee becomes a studio credit, with the only exception being a total no-show. Confirmation fees may be refunded on the day of your sales session, or applied toward your order. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy, for any reason.

Product Orders:

All product orders are final once made during your viewing session, and work commences immediately. To make the most of your session, please ensure that everyone involved in making decisions is present during the Zoom viewing. We keep your photos on file for 28 days, and if they aren’t viewed within that period, the deposit will be forfeited. Generally, your orders will be ready for pick-up within 2-3 weeks, though this may vary during busy seasons.
