Naik and Medha contacted us recently about photographing their creative session in the Los Angeles Area. This bridal session is commonly referred to as “Pre-Wedding Photography” throughout the world. In Asia, it’s widely practiced because it gives couples the opportunity to get some really amazing images without the time constraints of a wedding day. We have offered the creative session in our Signature Collection wedding packages since 2014. This was a bit different however in that Naik and Medha are actually getting married in India in the coming weeks. We had short notice before they flew to Delhi for their wedding so we made some time for this session which took place on a cloudy day.
The Location
The Couple chose El Matador Beach for their session because of the stunning architecture and beautiful landscapes. We have photographed many, many Los Angeles Engagement Sessions here at El Matador, and quite a few wedding sessions as well. It’s one of our favorite locations because of how it can always look different depending on the tide. As a Los Angeles Photography Location it provides many amazing photographic opportunities at both sunrise and sunset.
The Session
The session was beautiful, taking place on a misty day. The humidity in the air at El Matador Beach provides a great way to work with light. We used a lot of lighting to create unique images and were able to enhance the photos the couple chose for print in post production. We photographed this session primarily in the evening at low tide.
