As wedding photographers, we often photograph destination weddings in Iceland. In photography, you don't know where inspiration will come from. However, in this particular instance, we took inspiration from the Netflix TV show "Reign," I loved the dark contrast of the solid background combined with the soft light tones of a bride's Nordic complexion... the crown that we had her perfectly complemented the cape that she wore during this photo shoot... Iceland is a truly magical place that photographers can capture differently in various ways. Typically, it yields more cinematic, Moody images with lots of motion, essential for storytime because of the strong wind and weather conditions. We photographed this session at the black sand beach, perfectly juxtaposed with our Bride's overall look...If you are planning a destination wedding in Iceland, most picturesque photographic locations are about a 3-hour drive from Reykjavik. With that in mind, you should prepare your photos to take place on a day separate from your wedding ceremony. Some of the most beautiful places in Iceland are a five to six-hour drive from the center of the city. The best advice is to hire a local planner.
