A few months back my team and I got together and said we would be putting together shoots in the offseason that would allow us showcase our photography, build partnerships with amazing vendors, and build morale among our team. We committed to doing it right, as a lot of planning can go in to creating our Signature Collection of imagery.
We teamed up with our hair and makeup team Perfect Day, Perfect Look (www.perfectdayperfectlook.com) and model Stefanie Foster. I won’t lie, red is my most favorite color, and I have wanted to photograph a red wedding dress for years. Because red isn’t the most popular color on The Knot’s wedding color palette this year, we decided to have one made.
We headed out to El Mirage, California, to the dry lakebed to create these images. Using the Profoto B1 and B2 off camera flash system, we were able to create a shoot that was conceptual and absolutely fun. Our model, the beautiful Stefanie Foster was perfect and did not miss a beat in the Desert Sun.
We had a blast on this shoot and will be out shooting the next one in late November!
