We are in love with this Mission Inn Riverside Hotel Wedding. The venue is beautiful, as anyone who has been there can attest to. What is even more interesting than the beautiful architecture that lends itself to amazing photographs, is the story about how Jessica and Matt chose the venue.
Jessica and Matt are big fans of the HBO series, Game of Thrones. They decided to have a Game of thrones themed wedding. When Jess proposed the idea to Matt, he initially pushed back. However once she told him that the venue resembled a castle, it was a no brainer for him at all.
Initially when meeting Jess and Matt it wasn’t hard to see that these two could be professional models. I wasn’t surprised to hear that Jess in fact did have modeling experience, which translated in their photos. The best thing about the theme of the wedding was that Jess and Matt actually look like John Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, but that’s beside the point.
Jen and I had an incredible time photographing this couple’s wedding, and like most weddings, we are always sad when the event passes, however I am sure we will be seeing this couple again in the future, and cannot wait for the opportunities to document their story that will arise. We will update this blog with the couple’s video as soon as it’s back from production.
