A few weeks ago we decided to switch our album company to a newer, more modern album. Upon receiving the initial samples from the new company, we took a look at the quality, and decided that we need to offer an album that best represents our clientele. We decided that we were going to use Leather Craftsmen, a well known high-end album company located right here in California. Leather Craftsmen was founded in 1942 and started off hand making fine, high quality photo books. They have been family owned and operated throughout their history. All of the wedding albums that we offer come covered in (very) high quality leather. Their companion albums (pictured below) come covered in also very high quality Roma material.
We have seen a lot of albums from many different companies. Some are very good, and others not so good. The Leather Craftsmen are by far the highest quality that we have seen. The printing on the book is just as good or better as our preferred professional print lab. The colors pop, contrast is amazing, paper quality is great, and the page thickness is perfect.
Pictured below is our 12 X 12 wedding album. It features the standard leather cover, with a photo cover flush mounted on the album. Being that this album is large, our next sample will probably feature a larger cover photo. The printing on the cover is optional, and can come in color or engraved. The printing on the spine as well. There are so many different color options available, as well as cover options for stripes, photo plates, fine art photo insets, etc. We will be ordering more samples in the coming months.
In addition to the wedding album. We received a sample Roma cover companion album. These books are a replica of the wedding album, and come in either an 8 X 8, or a 6 X 6 (client’s choice). The same options are available for the engagement book that are available for the wedding album. The best part of the companion album, is that when ordering a regular album, these become extremely affordable. As of August 1st, we began offering a new Signature package, which includes both the 12 x 12 wedding album, as well as 2 companion albums
