November is when things start to slow down on the wedding side of our business. It’s the perfect time to focus on portfolio building and shoot for fun. LA Wedding Hair and Makeup Artist Nina Mukhar has worked on styling this bridal session and has asked us to photograph it. We reached out to one of our favorite garden venues, The Hyatt Valencia, and got permission to hold this shoot there.
Stylized shoots are great times for experimentation with lighting, post production, and posing. All of which we had the opportunity to develop new skills in. Overall, I love photographing wedding inspiration shoots throughout the year to develop new skills to serve our clients.
This session was photographed with the Canon 5DSR, and a combination of the 85mm 1.2L lens, 135mm F2.0L Lens, 11-24mm F4.0L lens, and the 70-200mm F2.8L IS II lens. We used the Profoto Off-Camera Flash system and modifiers, using both the Profoto B1 and Profoto B2. Lights were triggered using the Profoto Air TTL-C flash trigger.
