When I say I am excited for Lauro and Stephanie’s wedding that would be an understatement. Like Jen and I, these two have a passion and love for traveling. They are adventurous, fun, and totally get our style of thinking. They suggested a Glamis Sand Dunes Engagement Session and I couldn’t have been more happy. This was a place that we have wanted to shoot at for a long time, and because it’s about a 5 hour drive from LA with few hotels around, logistically it has been a challenge to get it done.
These two wanted an epic engagement session, and their style was right up our alley. So my assistant Hunter and I took the long drive out to Glamis on a Friday afternoon to shoot this session. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and as we were pulling up to the location, I kept thinking how much the landscape reminded me of Disney’s Aladdin. To think that this is in our own backyard is crazy.
Jen and I have sought out some of the most marvelous international locations to photograph couples in, but when you think about it, California has some pretty beautiful places that we haven’t ever visited before.
Soon after the session I was already sending these two ideas for their post wedding shoot we do with our couples after the wedding in their wedding attire. I am looking forward to capturing their images at the Iconic Hummingbird Nest Ranch next September.
