A California Couple | Beverly Hills Engagement Session

Alexis and Andrew are a special couple. They moved recently from Scottsdale, AZ, to Beverly Hills, CA. I don’t think that we have ever photographed a couple more perfectly California. The are both good looking, smart, and extremely fun. They both work, and reside in the 90210, and we could not think of a better place for their engagement session. We headed out with their dogs to a local park, and then made our way down to Rodeo Drive. This engagement session was so much fun, and I really think that this is one of my new most favorite places to photograph. After hanging out on Rodeo drive, we made our way across the street for some shots in the park of them longboarding on Santa Monica Bl. Alexis and Andrew were great to work with, and we cannot wait to photograph their wedding in September.

Their Story (From Alexis)

Andrew and I met summer of 2007 at the Camden Legacy apartments in Scottsdale, Arizona. I was 16 and living with my dad there and Andrew had obtained his first apartment on his own. One of his roomies was a friend of mine who ended up introducing us to each other. Pretty much from the day we met we were inseparable, and we made our relationship official on September 25th 2007.

Our proposal took place in Beaver Creek, Colorado on September 2nd 2012. The trip was arranged (well for what I knew) as a birthday weekend getaway for us, my birthday being September 4th. I had never been to Colorado and it was such a great idea for a birthday surprise! We spend a nice relaxing weekend at the Hyatt and went white water rafting down the Colorado River. I still had no idea what was coming. I was noticing Andrew acting a little strange and asked him a few times “Are you ok?” He assured me everything was. The following day we went for a long adventure hike up Beaver Creek Mountain behind our hotel. Once we were about half way to the top, Andrew found the perfect rock overlooking Beaver Creek and got down on one knee and popped the question! I said yes and grabbed the ring before he could even put it on my finger.
