Newhall Mansion Weddings

History

The Newhall Mansion has the most historic background of all of Santa Clarita’s wedding venues. The location is particularly unique because it is a victorian era household formally referred to as the Piru Mansion. Newhall Mansion has history that dates back to 1890. That kind of history is hard to find in any of Southern California. The mansion was built by a publisher originally, and was almost completely destroyed in the early 1980’s by a fire. Newhall Mansion was acquired by the Newhall family who owned the Newhall land company and rebuilt to it’s original state using nothing but photos as no blueprints could be located. The Newhall Mansion was a location for weddings throughout the 1990’s until it was sold to a private individual.

Transformation into a Santa Clarita Wedding Venue

In 2013 The Mansion was acquired by Limelight Investments, a company that specializes in turning estates into unique wedding venues. The mansion was renovated again and was opened to the public for weddings. One of the best things about the mansion, as well as Limelight’s other properties Seven4One and 1880 Union is that you are able to rent the property for the entire weekend. Truly, this allows easy access for people who have family coming in from out of town to have a place to stay for the weekend.

Bridal Suite

In 2015, The Newhall Mansion renovated the attic to add a beautiful bridal suite. Complete with restoration hardware furniture, and loads of natural window light, there are few venues that offer better options for bridal getting ready photos. The furniture is chic, and the light tones allow for incredible photographic opportunities.

Tavern

Located underneath the mansion is the only thing that was left original after the fire. The Tavern is every groom’s dream. The darker stone walls are lit with beautiful amber Edison lights, and the tavern is complete with a large flat screen TV, and a complete bedroom suite and kitchen.

For grooms, getting ready at The Newhall Mansion is one of the best features about the property.

Wedding Ceremony Sites

The Mansion is very flexible about the sites where you can have your wedding ceremony. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests, and has three different ceremony sites. You are able to get married on the front lawn, in front of the mansion which has a beautiful view or fountain.

In addition, you are able to get married on the rear lawn which has a more whimsical feel to it. Lastly, for a more traditional look, smaller weddings can use the alter area set up right behind the mansion.

Receptions

Receptions at the Newhall Mansion take place on the beautifully landscaped rear yard. One of the additions that the Newhall Mansion added last year was the ability to use the amazing in-house catering offered by the company. We have tried the food first hand and we have to tell you that wedding food doesn’t really get better than this.

Pricing

The Newhall Mansion prefers that couples reach out to them to talk about pricing for their individual event. This is because all weddings are different. According to Here Comes The Guide, expect the cost for a weekend rental to be between $14,000-$16,000. However, keep in mind that you are able to rent guest rooms out to friends or family to help offset the cost.
