Model Jagoda contacted us interested in doing a shoot in a natural setting.  Being that Santa Clarita has some of the best nature settings in Southern California, we jumped at the opportunity to utilize the area near the Placerita Canyon Nature Center.  It was a cooler day (By mid July’s standards) and we were worried about the possibility of rain.  We contacted super-talented makeup/hair artist Christina Underwood, who we worked together with at Randall and Richell’s wedding a few months back, who was able to meet us for the shoot.  Soon after, we got to work.  The rain teetered in and out, but we were able to shield our lights with makeshift umbrellas.  Jagoda, who is from Poland, was recently married, and is having a larger ceremony back in Poland.  Her husband is a hockey player.  We found out during our shoot that her name, Jagoda, translates to “Blueberry” in English.  I don’t think anyone could have a cooler name.  She was a blast to work with, and we are sure to get together again for another shoot, possibly something a bit less natural and more vibrant next time (we were talking about a Barbie shoot!)  The images turned out great and have been featured on outside blogs, as well as scored highly on websites such as 500px.
