If you're getting married in California, I'm sure you've come across wedding pictures from a Calamigos Ranch venue. Once you see it, it's obvious why so many brides and grooms choose to be photographed there! The unique gardens in each individual venue are gorgeous for photography, and the bridal suites are a gorgeous place to start photographing at the beginning of the wedding day when the bride is getting ready. This wedding took place on the 4th of July, and had a great red, white and blue theme. The bride and groom decided to do a first look before the ceremony, which allowed me to photograph the special moment between the couple when the groom saw his bride for the first time. Many brides are worried that by doing a first look, they will ruin the surprise when she walks down the aisle, but let me assure you that this groom cried when he first saw his bride, and again when she walked down the aisle. I love how genuine and pure this moment is, and that the bride and groom were alone to experience this intimate moment together for the first time. What I love about this image is the genuine emotion coming from the couple, the soft light on the bride and groom, and the gorgeous garden scene behind them. I felt that this photograph looked great in black and white, and allowed us to separate the bride from the background making her the natural focus of the image. It was such an honor to photograph this beautiful couple on their wedding day! Keywords: calamigos ranch wedding (45), garden wedding venues los angeles (45), malibu wedding photo (192), malibu wedding veunes (192), wedding photos (192). 1/160; f/4.5; ISO 500; 100.0 mm.
