We photographed this wedding in Downtown Los Angeles. This church's gorgeous architecture and details provided an amazing backdrop for photos for the bride and groom, as well as their bridal party.
This image has been one of my favorites since I first shot in in June of 2014. The interactions of these bridesmaids is paramount to the way we photograph the documentary portion of the day. Many people know that our style revolves our art-focused portraiture. But as a studio we have won multiple awards for our photojournalism coverage as well.
The bride wore a beautiful cathedral length veil on her wedding day, which we couldn't resist using in her bridal party portraits. We posed her bridesmaids under her veil, and captured the moment to picture them all laughing in one shot. This was such a fun moment for the bride, and one her bridesmaids will never forget.
There are a few elements to make creative wedding photos on a wedding day, one being emotion. We had so much fun with these bridesmaids, and we wanted to ensure that their genuine happiness was captured. We did this by asking the bridesmaids to look at each other and proceeded to make them laugh. Being together in this close proximity, they couldn't help but start cracking up. We captured the moment just in time to be able to provide this image in their wedding album. We printed this image in a large metal print that is huge at the top of our stairwell so all new clients see this image as soon as they walk in to our studio.
