Q: Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes we do! Most couples choose a package with this session built it. It allows us to get to know you, and we have always noticed that couples appear more relaxed in their wedding photos after working with us on an engagement session. Engagement sessions give us the chance to get to know you and are an essential part of a successful wedding.
Q: How may pictures will we get from our wedding or engagement session?
This varies from shoot to shoot, and we typically do not like to give a quantity. You can however expect a minimum of 500 images for an 8 hour wedding, and 50 images from an engagement session. It is not uncommon for us to finalize much more than that however. We stress quality over quantity however. Sometimes brides can get overwhelmed with a large amount of photographs.
Q: Will we receive every image you take?
In short, no. When booking with us, you are trusting our creative judgement. This means we pick the images you look your best in. If we didn’t give you the image, you wouldn’t want it anyway.
Q: How long before we receive our images?
We edit images in order of date taken, whether it is a wedding, or family portrait session. You can typically expect a preview image on our Facebook Timeline within 2-3 weeks. Your final product will typically be finished between 6-10 weeks after date taken (although this too can change in the future as our workload increases.). We do offer a rush option of 2 weeks. The charge is $150.00. When your images are done we will send you either an e-mail, Facebook message, or call you and let you know. We will first post a blog preview of our favorite shots. Next, a gallery of your images will be made on our client page. Last, we will deliver the product to you via DVD or wireless transfer. This happens within a week of each other usually. All images are edited by Michael and Jen, and while this may make the editing process take longer, it helps us deliver a consistent product.
Q: You mentioned you edit your images? Do you edit all of them or just some of them?
Every image that we give you has been edited in some way or another. Our editing process includes culling down images, color correction, tonal correction, and adding certain creative elements. Sometimes we will remove blemishes, or smooth skin gradients if needed. We want to make sure you look your best!!!! If any special editing is desired, there may be additional charges. For instance, if we complete 600+ images, and a client requests that in all images of him or her require that we remove a tattoo, that is something that would need to be discussed with us before booking. Images where a re-edit is desired may incur additional charges, please contact us for more information.
Q: Do you offer Boudoir sessions?
Good question! YES! Jennifer shoots our boudoir sessions, and she is great at it!
Q: Do you bring an assistant or second shooter?
Typically there are two of us photographing your day. We may bring an assistant as well under special circumstances.
Q: Do you travel or do destination weddings?
Yes! Weddings photographed in Los Angeles County are not subject to a travel fee. Anything outside may incur additional costs, please contact us for details. Our destination wedding pricing is a bit different, so contact us for information.
Q: We want to book with you! What is required?
Great! We require both a $500.00 retainer, as well as a signed reservation. A date is not considered reserved until we receive both of these things. We use E-Contracts, so we can wrap up your reservation within minutes usually! All dates are not considered held until both are received. Any wedding day changes are subject to availability. Retainers are non-refundable, and can be paid with cash, check, credit card, or Paypal.
Q: Your wedding package includes XX-hours, what happens if we go over?
Wedding rarely go according to plan, and this is understandable. If we go over our allotted time, there is a $275 an hour additional charge which will be billed prior to receiving your images. We would never go over without permission, and we will let you know if time is coming close to the end of the day. We never take off or work overtime without asking you.
Q: How many photographers work with you? Who will shoot my wedding?
Our studio consists of four equally talented photographers who all shoot in the exact same style. Michael will typically be the lead photographer at your wedding, however all of our photographers are more than capable of filling this role. If you have any questions about your wedding, please ask us specifically.
